Hi, I'm Ganesh Shanmugam. I started Billion Web Studio with one goal: to build one billion websites that actually work for the businesses behind them.
Before we built websites, our team spent its days in search, helping businesses get found on Google through Billion Game, our SEO and AEO agency. The same story kept landing on my desk. A business with a great product, honest prices and happy customers, and a website that did nothing for it. Slow pages. No search traffic. A contact form that nobody had ever filled in.
A rooftop solar installer. A uniform manufacturer. A packaging factory. Each of them had a website, and each was getting zero leads from it. After we rebuilt those sites, the same businesses now get 5 to 10 enquiries every week. Same products, same people, same prices. The only thing that changed was the website.
That is when the number made sense to me. There are hundreds of millions of businesses in the world, and most of them are invisible online. If a better website can change the week of a factory owner, it can do the same for a bakery, a clinic or a two person startup on the other side of the world.
So I gave the company a goal big enough to keep us honest. Not one billion pages that simply exist, but one billion websites that are search friendly, bring in real business, rank for the searches their customers make, and keep growing year after year. We are at the very start. Every site our team launches gets us one step closer, and every one gets the same standard, whether it is five pages or five thousand.
